Movie is about upper-middle class family of India.In this movie actor Naseeruddin Shah played role of Bride's father. The marriage showed in the movie is a kind of arranged wedding where girl accepts the wedding proposal. The movie shows a mixture of modern and traditional customs and the happenings during the wedding ceremony including pre- wedding parties, dances, customs and celebrations. More over the movie also showed some Punjabi flavor in it. The beautiful song sung by Sukhwinder Singh "Aaj Mera Je Kerda" is gains main focus in the movie as it helps to tell that how interesting weddings are during "Monsoon" in India and various celebrations associated with the "Monsoon shower".
